Opening of new charity shop

Charity shop, I can’t believe this is a charity shop? That’s the reaction from the first customers at the new shop operated by Hospice of the Good Shepherd.  The shop is at 5 Rivington Road, Ellesmere Port and was opened by Gill Bills, the Shop Manager.

“Customers keep saying they cannot believe the standard of our items in our charity shop. It is more like a department store with such a range of goods “says Jason Gregory, Head of Retail and Distribution.

The shop is divided into different areas – clothes, toys and home furniture and accessories.   This shop has now increased the number of outlets to 6.  The opening hours are 9am to 5pm Monday to Saturday “If you are decluttering or clearing a house we offer a free collection service for furniture. Smaller goods can be dropped off, including clothes says Jason.

As well as donations, the shop is appealing for local people to join the team of volunteers who sort goods, serve customers and organise internet sales of items. To find out more phone 0151 357 1 1209.
