HOSPICE LAUNCH NEW WEBSITE TO RAISE EXTRA FUNDS

The Hospice of the Good Shepherd have just launched their new lottery website so that players can support their local hospice by joining the lottery on-line whilst also having the chance to win £1000 every week.

Players can simply join the scheme and play for as little as £1 a week and be entered into our weekly prize draw where they can win £1000 which is one of 33 weekly cash prizes. The funds raised from players will also increase the income for the hospice in order to provide local people with free end of life care and support at a time when it’s needed most.
The hospice lottery site was launched in October 1997 and has grown in popularity at the hospice as well as with other charities over the years, where people enjoy supporting a local cause whilst also having the chance to win a cash prize.

The hospice lottery currently has approximately 12,000 members and generates funds to raise the £7,000 needed each day to keep the hospice open.
The launch of the new lottery site is one of many developments taking place at the Hospice of the Good Shepherd based in Backford, Chester including a £2.2 million extension that will double the size of its building and provide the latest facilities and equipment to meet the complex medical care needed by many of its patients and support for their families.
Ian Jones, Lottery and Individual Giving Manager said, “We are keen to attract supporters to the hospice and we understand that by providing an on-line service is much more convenient for people and helps us to keep pace with the latest technology” He added, “We hope to increase the number of players over the next 12 months and would urge people to play local so their money stays local!”

All the money raised by the lottery goes towards patient care. You can join the hospice lottery by visiting www.hospicegslottery.com.
