New van ready to collect!
It’s that time of year when it’s time for a serious spring clean! By getting rid of unwanted furniture, clothes, bric-a-brac, toys and books helps us not only de-clutter our homes but our minds as well. But what to do with those unwanted items?
The Hospice of the Good Shepherd are making an urgent appeal for donated goods following your spring clean that enables them to generate much needed income from its six retail shops located in Hoole, Northgate Street, Sutton Way, Overpool, Neston and Frodsham.
That’s why they are so excited about their brand new van generously provided by Hospice supporters. This will now enable the Hospice retail team to arrange household and business collections and deliveries of furniture and other goods for free, six days a week.
Steve Hoy, Chief Executive for the Hospice of the Good Shepherd says, “The van will provide a vital and much demanded service for supporters of the Hospice, it will enable us to make more collections and deliveries and also distribute the goods across our shops. There has been a considerable increase in people using charity shops over the past few years – it’s a great way to re-use and recycle whilst also bagging a bargain and at the same time giving something back to your local hospice!” He added, “The van was supplied from V4B who kindly agreed to waive their commission fees, making the purchase more achievable at a time when we are in need of income.”
V4B, are located in Wrexham and will be celebrating 25 years in business next year. The company, that employs 35 people, pride themselves on working with local businesses and customers whilst also developing its national reach. Chris Lawlor, IT & Marketing Manager at V4B said, “Being 25 years old in 2017 V4B have had the pleasure of supplying Cars and Vans to local and nationwide companies and private individuals alike, but when you supply a vehicle to such a great organisation such as the Hospice of the Good Shepherd it makes the job we do extra special! Knowing that the vehicle we have supplied will be used to help the hospice in their day to day running is reward in itself.”
