Chester 10K #hospiceheroes

Congratulations and huge thanks to Heidi Cotton and Charlie Brophy who recently completed the 2018 Chester 10k race.

The event took place between Chester city centre and Mollington, with runners battling through cold weather after a week of snow and freezing conditions.

As part of a small team, Company Secretary Heidi and her husband Steve, from C & C Catering, managed to raise over £2,800 for Hospice of the Good Shepherd.

The group ran in memory of their good friend Stu Ridge, who they sadly lost just over a year ago to a nasty and aggressive cancer.

Heidi commented, “It was cold and wet with some rather unpleasant inclines, but we are all on a high after completing the run and are still amazed at the kind and generous donations we have received. We are proud to have run in Stu’s memory, and the money will help many families in their time on need.”

Charlie Brophy, wife of C&C’s Steve Brophy, was also delighted to have completed the race in an impressive 1.06.

Charlie commented, “Training was practically non existent so I’m really happy with my 1.06 time!”

Well done to both Charlie and Heidi on your fantastic achievements!
