Light up a Life this Christmas

The festive season is fast approaching and this is often a time of joy but also a time to remember. Our Light Up a Life campaign is an opportunity to sponsor a light in memory or in honour of a loved one who cannot be with you or has died.

Sunday 3rd December: We are hosting an outdoor service with music, refreshments and festive stalls at the Hospice from 5.30pm. If you are able to attend please bring along a photo of your loved wall to be displayed on our ‘Memory Wall’

Tuesday 12th December : An indoor traditional service at St Paul’s Church Hooton at 6.30pm

On Sunday 3rd December, you will have the chance to purchase our Christmas cards, gifts and refreshments.  There will also be time to visit the Multi faith room where the ‘Book of Lights’ will be available to view.

Both services are FREE to attend and open to everyone within our community, you do not have to have had a loved one cared for by us at the Hospice.

We also invite everyone attending to bring along a photo of their loved one, which can then be pinned to our ‘Memory Wall’. This collection of images and faces is a stirring and positive addition to what is already a poignant occasion.

Even if you choose not to join us for our service, you can still make a donation in memory of someone special, they do not need to have been cared for by the Hospice of the Good Shepherd. The name of your loved one will be entered into our ‘Book of lights’ alongside the names and dedications of others, and will be available to view at the services

Dedicating a light is not only a way of remembering someone; it also raises vital funds for the Hospice. Your donation will be enable us to provide vital care for local people today and in the future.
