Adult Counselling Service at Living Well

Our dedicated, professional and empathic team of counsellors and volunteers are here to provide support to the Hospice of the Good Shepherd patients and their families should they need us pre and post bereavement, and to the community of West Cheshire who are dealing with bereavement following the death of a loved one regardless of when, where or how they died.

Watch this short video of our Senior Counsellors Jane and Eleanor to tell you more about the service.

What our clients say...

“I am so relieved I could be offered support after the trauma endured and loss of my mother.”

What our clients say...

“It has saved me and given my children their mum back, and my partner her other half back.”

What our clients say...

“For me personally my counsellor was everything I needed. She allowed me to express all my feelings good and bad that I needed to get out to someone other than my family with no judgement. It has helped me so much.”

What our clients say...

“An amazing service from the beginning to the end. Every person I’ve spoken to by phone or in person has treated me with respect and warmth. Who knows what my life would be like without the support I’ve had from this service. I have learnt a lot about myself and realise there is much more for me to learn. I have learnt to let go of things that were out of my control. This service needs to shout from the rooftops just how special it is so others like me can benefit. Everybody at the counselling service is a truly special individual who makes positive changes to people’s lives.”

What our clients say...

“Welcoming atmosphere as you come in the door.  I felt I was a strong person all my life, but I really needed this service to recover.”

What our clients say...

“I was recommended this service by a GP at City Walls Medical Centre, and they said “it’s a quality service that is a cut above the rest and was 100%.  Thank you!!!”

What our clients say...

“Initially I was feeling quite reluctant about this counselling, as I thought it would be judgemental, to my delight I couldn’t be further from the truth, never once was I told to “pull myself together”

What our clients say...

“Felt that I was dealt with in a very professional manner and with a very high standard of expertise and experience.”
