Shop Manager

Full Time Shop Manager (Sutton Way) – 37.5 hours – salary £19,632

Fixed Term – 12 Months

We know our charity shops are only as good as our staff and we are looking for a precious gem who can make our charity shops sparkle.

Our charity shop managers are not standard retail managers, they are people who can create a fantastic shopping environment with one off item and who can face different challenges every moment of the day. It’s a challenge but exciting and different and you know that every penny that comes through your shops makes a difference to the lives of local people living with a life limiting illness.

Shop Manager Responsibilities:
Managing every aspect of your shop: This will include using innovative techniques to increase stock generation, ensuring we maximise opportunities such as retail gift aid, pricing, reviewing suitability of incoming donations and anything else required to ensure the day-to-day operational success of the shop.

Leading your team: You will lead, inspire and engage a team of dedicated volunteers. Our people are the key to our success, and you will help to grow the team with us.

Business Development: We think big, and we like our people to do the same. You will have targets to ensure we grow. You will play an active part in the community and engage with our Fundraising team so that we become everyone’s first choice when fundraising or donating.

Shop Manager Requirements:
Our best people are strongly aligned to our values, Compassion, dignity, respect and integrity. These are at the heart of everything we do. You will have had some experience working in the retail sector and preferably in the charity sector to give you an initial understanding of the sector we operate in. However, if you have a passion for delivering exceptional customer service, are target driven and can inspire a team we also want to hear from you.
