Quality and Improvement Assistant

Full Time 37.5 hours per week, Salary £27,055 per annum

Are you looking for a new opportunity to support the delivery of excellent services to people with life limiting illnesses at the Hospice of the Good Shepherd?  We have reviewed the needs of the hospice due to the increased regulatory requirements, internal quality and safety monitoring and service improvement and created this new role to support the Director of Quality and Improvement. The post holder will be responsible for applying clinical knowledge and skills to monitor quality outcomes, including audits, thematic analysis of incidents, and monitoring implementation of action plans, and those results are communicated. In addition, they will support clinical staff with the implementation of new processes identified through changes to quality procedures as well as supporting with preparation of clinical policies and procedures

The candidate will have a mature outlook, with experience of conducting audits and working within a clinical governance framework, ideally within a health care environment. They will be proactive with the ability to respond to regularly changing priorities demonstrating their ability to work efficiently whilst recognising the need for empathy, sensitivity and confidentiality when working with colleagues and trustees.  Applicants must be IT literate and proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, consistently demonstrating high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.

This is a full-time position (37.5 hrs) on site at the hospice with the possibility of occasional evening work (Monday-Friday).
