Interim Quality and Improvement Manager  12 Month Fixed Term Contract, 37.5 hours per week, £35,000

Are you looking for a new opportunity to support the delivery of excellent services to people with life limiting illnesses at the Hospice of the Good Shepherd?  We are looking to recruit an Interim Quality and Improvement Manager to support the Director of Clinical Services and Responsible Clinician / Medical Director in the clinical governance, risk management and quality agenda at the Hospice. The post has been created to support significant developments in the coming year. The post holder will be responsible for the quality processes and will line manage a small team as the hospice implements a new assurance framework (RADAR) and patient database (EMIS) and will manage a small team of staff. 

The successful candidate will have a mature outlook, experience of working within quality and / assurance service ideally within a health care environment and of leading a small team. They will be proactive with the ability to respond to regularly changing priorities.  You will demonstrate the ability to work efficiently whilst recognising the need for empathy, sensitivity and confidentiality when working with colleagues and trustees.  Applicants must be IT literate and proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, consistently demonstrating high levels of accuracy and attention to detail. 

This is a temporary contract working 37.5hrs per week with occasional evening work (Monday-Friday).  There is a requirement for attendance at an evening meeting currently every two months.
