Fundraising for the Hospice is a great way to support the work we do, improving quality of life for those with life-limiting illnesses.

By planning an event – large or small – you can make a real difference in the lives of people in your community. Every penny raised through our fundraising events will be used to provide vital care and support for people who need it.

It can be a very rewarding experience to know that you are helping so many people. It can be doubly rewarding to do so while taking on a personal challenge, or pushing yourself to achieve a significant goal. Perhaps you have a dream of cycling the length of the country or taking on the Three Peaks Challenge? Why not make it a reality? Talk to our fundraising team about how they can help you, and how you can raise vital funds for the Hospice at the same time.

Fundraising events don’t need to be high-adrenaline adventures. There are ideas that will suit all ages, whether you’re more comfortable throwing a party, hosting a coffee morning or leaping out of an aeroplane.

There are many different kinds of events, such as:

  • Open Gardens
  • Coffee Mornings
  • Oversea Challenges
  • Sponsored Head shave or other outrageous ideas
  • Quiz nights
  • Themed Events
  • Funeral Donations we can provide you with collection envelopes on request

Whatever event you’d like to hold, the Hospice of the Good Shepherd is here to assist. We have a range of promotional materials and sponsorship forms, and are more than happy to offer advice and tips to make your event as successful as possible.

Through GiftAid, we can claim back an additional 25% of any funds raised from the government. To discuss how to do so, or for any other support or advice, call our fundraising team on 01244 851 811.
