Get Involved in #Giving Tuesday

#GivingTuesday, is a global day of giving which takes place on Tuesday 28th November following Black Friday and Cyber Monday and is a chance to give something back after all that shopping! #GivingTuesday reminds everyone it’s good to give – and encourages people to come together and share the goodwill.

This year #GivingTuesday takes place on November 28, 2017. There are many ways that you could take part and give something to help people affected by a life-limiting illnesses living in Chester, West Cheshire and Deeside.

This year we are asking you to give us your time,  your enthusiasm and to make a donation to help us make every moment count for people with life limiting illnesses throughout the region.

Give Goods : We rely on the generosity of the local community to donate good quality, saleable items for our shops to sell to raise money. All 5 of our charity shops accept goods during opening hours and we are also able to collect items in the local area. Find your nearest shop here.

Give Time : The Hospice of the Good Shepherd is proud to have over 400 volunteers who make the Hospice the special place that it is. Voluntary work can be weekly, fortnightly, monthly or much more occasional, such as volunteering at one of our fundraising events. Email to find out more.

Give Money : With your gift we can help even more local people to cope with the effects of life-limiting illnesses. You can donate online here. If you would like to donate by text simply text the word HOGS27 followed by an amount e.g. £2, £5 or £10 to 70070; eg  To donate £5 to support Hospice of the Good Shepherd text HOGS27  £5. 100% of the donation goes to the Hospice. Standard message rates may apply

Give a Gift : We have put together an Amazon Wish List of items that we need for our Hospice . Our Wish List contains items from small to large amounts and is updated regularly. If you would prefer to donate a gift in this way, please click here and see if there’s anything you would like to buy for us.

If you can spare time, money or items for the Hospice then we would be incredibly grateful, as we rely very much on the generosity of our community in order to care for local families when they need us the most.
