DO Good, FEEL Good, Make a Difference!
Volunteer recruitment morning at the Hospice on Monday 4th June drop in anytime from 10am to 11.30am and have an informal chat!”
People may think volunteering in a hospice is sad or depressing. On the contrary volunteering in a hospice is life affirming.
The hospice movement is growing in popularity and that’s in part because of volunteers who are part of our community and are helping to change our attitude towards end of life care.
Our volunteers not only do good, but they do it well. They are truly inspirational.
One of our much valued volunteers Margaret Redfern has experienced various volunteer roles across the Hospice and now regularly helps out on reception and the fundraising department.
Margaret said ” My first visit to the Hospice was to see a friend and I found the place very calming and peaceful which is why I volunteered my help. I enjoy volunteering at the Hospice as it’s very rewarding and I have met so many wonderful people including patients, visitors, staff and other volunteers.
“Supporting the fundraising department is never boring as I can be helping out at an event one day and then sending out fundraising packs the next. It doesn’t matter how much time you can spare there are always jobs that need doing and the fundraising team really appreciate your help”.
We currently have volunteering roles in fundraising and retail please contact firstname.lastname@example.org attend our drop in recruitment morning!
