Pop up Bereavement Cafe

Losing a loved one can turn your world upside down and make you feel lost. Talking about how you feel can help. Everyone experiences grief in a unique way.

Our Bereavement Service will be running a pop-up Bereavement Café on Wednesday 6th June 2-4pm at the Hospice of the Good Shepherd in Backford.

The pop-up Bereavement Café isn’t counselling or a support group and is an informal drop in session for anyone living in Chester, Ellesmere Port, West Cheshire and Deeside.

The pop-up Bereavement Café provides a space to talk about the pain of loss but also find courage and strength in knowing you are not alone.

Maybe you worry about saying the wrong thing, have concerns about a loved one, are struggling to decide if how you feel is ‘ok’ or just want to think about grief in general.

Anyone who is coping with bereavement following the death of a loved one, regardless of when, where or how they died is welcome to come along to talk about bereavement openly. It’s also an opportunity to learn more about what bereavement might feel like or how it might impact, and to find out more about how to support someone who is bereaved.

Our Bereavement team will be on hand to chat and to answer questions about bereavement and there will be some information resources available too, including lists of local and national support agencies. There will also be a memory tree, where you can leave a favourite memory of a loved one, or just take a moment to remember.

If you have any questions or would like to attend please contact 01244 853193 or bereavement@hospicegs.com.
