13 January 2022 - 16 January 2022
Our Christmas tree collection service for Chester, Ellesmere Port and Deeside is hassle free and supports the Hospice of the Good Shepherd! If you’re getting a real Christmas tree this year but don’t want the hassle of getting rid of it then we have some GOOD NEWS for you!
Treat yourself to a real tree and let our dedicated team of Hospice volunteers collect and recycle it after the festive season in return for a donation to the Hospice! Not only will you be supporting local your Hospice, you’ll also be doing your bit for the environment!
We have teamed up with JustHelping once again who will be managing registrations for the Christmas trees.
After registering your tree using our Christmas tree collection service, your tree will be collected by our wonderful volunteers between Thursday 13th – Sunday 16th January 2022. The postcodes we will be collecting from are: CH1, CH2, CH3, CH4, CH65 and CH66.
As we’re unable to specify a collection date or time, please ensure your tree is left in a clearly visible, accessible and unobstructed location, outside of your property. Our volunteers are unable, under any circumstance, to enter your property (e.g. house, garden, shed).
The money raised from each tree collection will go directly to patient care. It costs approximately £11,000 to run the Hospice for a day, but the costs that individuals can help with, are the patients meals per day, which are around £15, a physiotherapy session for £50, or £100 to heat the Hospice per day in this cold weather.
