Hospice Care Week 2017

‘We are hospice care’ is the theme for this year’s national Hospice Care Week taking place 9th – 15th October 2017.

We will be using Facebook, Twitter and our website to show the many faces of your local community hospice care. Our aim is to dispel common misconceptions or fears about hospice care and inspire you with individual stories.

From nurses to volunteers, chefs to chaplains, corporate partners to carers, this theme is about celebrating everyone involved in providing and supporting hospice care.

The simplest way to get involved in Hospice Care Week and help raise awareness of hospice care is by joining in with the conversation on social media.

You can join in by tweeting @GS_Hospice using the hashtag #WeAreHospiceCare or by visiting our Facebook during Hospice Care Week.

Get involved in Hospice Care Week

This year’s Hospice Care Week takes place over the week of 9th -15th October and there are many different ways you can show your support and get involved.

You could hold a Bake a Difference event, pledge to volunteer, make a donation, sign up for our lottery or visit one of our charity shops across the local area.

Remember, whatever you do to support the Hospice of the Good Shepherd during Hospice Care Week, you will be helping us to provide support for local people affected by a life limiting illness.

It costs over £4 million a year to provide our services for free; yet we receive less than 25 percent of our funds from the NHS.
