Wednesday Group
The Wednesday group is a drop-in group which meets weekly for patients and carers, and as the name suggests they usually meet on a Wednesday.
The group's activities are a mixture of social events and visits.
A variety of guest speakers have entertained the group with their experiences of topics such as "Biking along the Nile", "Theatrical Make-Up", "Ballet and Art" to name but a few.
Outside visits have included a barge canal trip, a day at Granada studios, a trip to the Everton football ground and an annual day trip to Dublin.
The group is organised by our social worker, Lynne Moorhead, but is run by its members who also arrange various fund-raising events on behalf of the Hospice.
