Spiritual Care

Many patients have needs which extend beyond the immediate physical and social aspects of care.

Although the Hospice is not allied to any particular faith or denomination we are aware that patients may have spiritual needs or may wish to talk about questions and concerns relating to spirituality.

Our chaplaincy team consists of volunteer ministers who are able to spend time talking with patients individually and this may include prayer or communion if appropriate.

A suitable service is held in the chapel on most days and is attended by day patients, in patients and families.
