F - Find a few friends or family members of not more than 5-8 people to help
U - Unite to discuss the event, the date and also responsibilities of each individual or team e.g. venue, posters, refreshments, ticket price and printing, special equipment, bookkeeping and sponsorship money.
N - Nominate a place and time for regular fundraising meetings.
D - Decide on what the approximate event costs will be
How much time will it take to organise?
How much do you think it could raise?
How many additional volunteers will you need?
R - Resources will have to be agreed. Draw up a budget and work out how to reduce and meet the costs.
A - Advertising will be needed to let people know about your event. Tell everyone you know. Send details of the event to the Hospice Fundraising Team via email info@hospicegs.com or by post to the address on the first page of this fundraising pack.
I - Inform other people that you are raising money for the Hospice of the Good Shepherd and why they should support you. Always include the Charity Registration Number 515516 on any printed material e.g. posters, tickets etc.

S - Suggest different ideas that you think will make the event more successful. Use your imagination and think creatively.
E - Engage the help of others. Contact our fundraising team on 01244 851811. They are available to give you professional advice on how to make the most of your event. They can also provide you with sponsorship forms.
R - Relax and enjoy the day/evening and remember that you have helped to ensure the future highly specialised care of patients at the Hospice of the Good Shepherd.
