Home Money Boxes
Small change can make a big difference to your local Hospice and this is one reason why we are encouraging our supporters to have a coin collection box in their own homes which can be filled with any loose change.
Every penny counts is very true, particularly as the 1p coin is facing an uncertain future and pennies can actually be a hindrance to some people. This is not the case for the Hospice of the Good Shepherd though, as more than £2,000 was raised through loose change from people’s homes last year.
We can send a Home Money Box to you through the post, then once it is full you can either:
- Bank the coins yourself and send a cheque for the total amount to us.
- Return the coins in the plastic bag provided and take it to the Hospice, one of our charity shops or to the Lottery office.
