Education
The Hospice has an ongoing education programme which includes training in all aspects of palliative care for doctors, nurses, hospital and nursing home staff, GPs and district nurses. We provide placements for nurses, doctors, medical students, social work and pharmacy students who wish to visit the Hospice to gain experience in palliative care.
The photo shows the Coach House which is our education centre where members of the nursing and medical team regularly give talks to various groups on relevant topics.
Cheshire Hospices Education was started in 1998 and is a joint venture
between the Hospice of the Good Shepherd, St. Luke's Cheshire Hospice Winsford
, and East Cheshire Hospice Macclesfield to develop courses in palliative
care between the three Hospices.
