Donate Unwanted Goods
The Hospice is always glad of any quality unwanted goods that you may wish to donate. You can arrange for the items to be collected from your home by simply phoning Jean, Linda or Audrey on 01244 375477 .
George and Larry our Drivers
George Evans and Larry Kenny are our two cheerful Hospice Van Drivers who both have a way of bringing a smile to whoever they meet. They are both responsible for driving the vans, which have been kindly sponsored by M&S Chester Store, throughout the Hospice catchment area from as far as Tarporley to as near as Upton.
They can be seen making regular collections of unwanted donated goods from houses within the community. George said:” We can be asked to collect anything from antique furniture to wedding dresses to golf clubs, every collection is different and it is true to say that one person’s unwanted item is another person’s treasure. We collect the various items and then take them to the Hospice Depot in Saltney. We are so grateful to all the local people who keep our shops going, they are a source of income that is vital to Hospice care”.
